Our team designed and implemented a holistic system to navigate people through local landmarks while having the theatre and the university as the primary interest. The deliverables included interactive information kiosks, signages, pictograms, and marketing materials. It was a great honor to take part as a designer in meaningful community improvement.

A 9-square design module is the foundation of the entire project, including the kiosk design, wayfinding signage, poster, and banner. The module represents the squares on one side of a Rubik's cube, which is a tribute to the profile of the Hammer Theatre—a "pancake" base and a rotated "cube." The squares symbolize bringing people together in the diverse cultural community of San José and Silicon Valley. Using a "staircase" shape constructed from the module embodies innovation and moving forward.
